Housing Innovations returns to present Homeless Systems Assessment Gap Analysis

Homeward has engaged the services of Housing Innovations to complete a homelessness systems assessment and system modeling as well as the evaluation of the Des Moines/Polk County Centralized Intake. Matt White, Senior Associate with Housing Innovations will present final results today, Thursday, December 14th. The community meeting will be from 4:00pm-5:30pm at Polk County River Place. See the electronic meeting schedule to the left of the meeting rooms at River Place for the room location. Matt’s final presentation will include estimates of the size and needs of people experiencing homelessness in Des Moines/Polk County, assumptions about the types and amounts of assistance (prevention, diversion, shelter, transitional housing, rapid rehousing and permanent supportive housing) that will effectively and equitably meet those needs as well as the cost of those various interventions.
