***Homeward Continuum of Care Annual Membership Meeting***

Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the federal entity that provides federal funding for homeless services, requires all Continuum of Care (CoC) entities to have an annual membership meeting to vote on any significant changes to the CoC Charter.

For the past year, Homeward has been working with the HCC/Housing Solutions Alliance and the City of Des Moines to re-assess and re-work the existing Governance charter. For it to be accepted, it must be presented and approved by the Members of the CoC.

Voting on the governance charter will happen in person on December 15, from 2-3 pm at the Polk County River Place, Room 1A. If you have colleagues/acquaintances who are currently involved in the work of the CoC and are not currently members, please have them review membership expectations and register to become a member at www.homewardiowa.org/becomeacocmember

We encourage all members to join us on December 15th to vote. Individuals who have been involved in Homeward committees, PIT count, or the Housing Solutions Alliance work are all welcome to become members. Registration may occur on-site, however, we encourage advance registration.
